I posted two new posts below full of pictures from our trip to Illinois. I flew up with Caroline on the 22nd. We boarded the dogs in Birmingham and Eric drove up on the 23rd. We packed as much family time as possible into the 6 days we were there. Caroline was so much fun this Christmas as she loved opening presents and even loved playing with each thing she opened instead of just loving the gift wrap or tissue paper. She said "Dank You" after each present and was truly spoiled rotten with love, presents, and lots of attention!
We drove back to Alabama on Wednesday evening and Caroline only slept about 30 minutes of the 8 hour trip. I hate to admit it, but she watched about 5 or 6 hours worth of DVDs. She was quite the trooper and hope we don't have to drive that trip again until next Christmas. It doesn't make it too bad when you only do it once/ year.
We had a fantastic trip, but are glad to be back in our own home and getting things settled and enjoy our long weekend before we both go back to work. Caroline isn't going to know what to do when she has to go back to "school".
