We are going on Year 5 of living in Alabama. I never dreamed we would have made the kind of friends that we have. We have met so many people in the same boat that we are; residency. As sad as it is we are all glad that Residency does eventually come to an end. So, lots of friends have been packing up and moving out of Birmingham. Last summer we had to say goodbye to our next door neighbors and best friends, Leah & Michael. This summer, there are about 8 other couples/families that are moving away and either starting their career as a Phyician or are doing a fellowship somewhere else. I know that we will always stay in touch. The girls already decided to do a beach trip next August! :o)

Nicole, Hughes, and Lily are moving to Winston-Salem, NC for a 1 year fellowship. Leah, Michael, & Bailey moved to Lexington, KY last summer for Cardiology!
