4 Months Old!!

4 months ago today we welcomed our little boy to the world! What a joy he has been!! We go to the doctor next week for the 4 month checkup, so I'll have his weight/height stats then. I am pretty sure I know how that appointment will go. We will find out he is very chubby. He will get shots and scream his head off. Sad! I made the appointment later in the month, so Eric's mom will be here to keep Caroline at home. It is NOT fun to take both kids to Target, let alone the doctor.

Cole is pretty much on a daytime nap schedule now, which has been great AND horrible. It has been great because when he gets a good nap during the day he does well at night. But, his naps are a morning and late afternoon nap and Caroline's is a mid-day nap, which pretty much guarantees we are stuck at home a lot.

I've mentioned before that he is quite spoiled. He has been taking naps in our bed during the day because it is dark and cold in there (Thank you, Eric for the black-out shades!). If he naps upstairs in his own bed, he only sleeps for like 30 minutes. On Wednesday he took a 4 hour afternoon nap in our bedroom and then slept through the night! woo hoo!!

He has been laying flat on his back on his play mat lately. HUGE DEAL! The child hates lying flat on his back. The other day he laid on his back for over an hour just staring at the ceiling fan. Probably pretty boring for him, but he seemed to enjoy it.

I have enjoyed four solid months home with him. One more to go and we all start school. Bittersweet.
