Three!

Caroline Anne turned 3 on Saturday! We have been talking about her birthday for over a month now. She would tell us, "I'm two now. I'll be three on May 5th." So at the beginning of last week we told her that her birthday was in four days. She would say, "No, my birthday is May 5th."

Her birthday celebration festivities began at the beginning of the week when we let her open a present each evening. Her first present was a Rapunzel plush doll from the Disney Store.Caroline is obsessed with the Disney movie Tangled right now. She was so proud of it.

The next night, opening more presents!
New play clothes from Great Grandma and Grandpa Stull.

Aunt Courtney and Uncle Bobby (and Caroline says it's from their dog Lexi, too) sent her present down! What is it??

KEN!!!

Excited for her new Ken doll! She loves Toy Story 3.

Watching Sissy open presents.

Rapunzel, Ken, Amy, & Caroline opening a present from Mamaw and Gpa. What is it??

A super fun Toy Story book that makes sounds!!

Thursday morning we picked up Krispy Kreme donuts to bring to her friends and teachers.
She carried them in very proudly!
Sitting at her table in her classroom...

Caroline with her sweet teachers that we are going to miss dearly.

Thursday afternoon I picked up my mom and Avery from the airport. They came down for the Big Birthday Weekend! We picked up the kids at school and Caroline was soooo excited to see Avery and Gigi.

Aunt Kaci, Uncle Mark, Avery, and Will got Caroline the Jessie doll from Toy Story.

Loving on her Disney babies.

LOVED taking a bath with Avery.

Snuggling with Gigi before bed.

Saturday morning we started her birthday with opening a few more presents...

BARBIE!!!
This face says it all. She was so excited to get Barbie!

Isn't opening presents so much fun!?

She opened her presents from Gigi and Papa, too! She got an adorable 31 bag with her monogram to carry all her babies around in. Perfect!! She got a ton of clothes (her favorite things at the young age of 3!) and some other fun stuff.
All 4 of Caroline's grandparents went in on a small table and chairs for their new playroom at our new house. That, of course, is up in Illinois already! Thank you!!!

Poor Cole was sick and tired. :o(

Before the party!!

Getting ready to leave to head to the birthday party!

We had her birthday party at a place in Vestavia Hills called Wee Flip. It was awesome! They did EVERYTHING for the party. We literally showed up 15 minutes before the party started! So great in this incredibly hectic time in our lives.

Swinging before the guests arrived!

They had a fun roller coaster that the kids all thought was awesome. So did Cole!

Drool monster!!!

Playing in the ball pit!

Some friends from school!

Hilarious picture of Avery. I LOVE my camera!!!

Weeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Classmates playing in the ball pit.

Riding a motorized train. Cole rode around and around this thing FOREVER!

Party room!! They provided juice, popcorn, and cupcakes for the kids. I thought that was perfect and it was so colorful in that room!

mmmmmmm.

Cole discovered the mirror and giggled at himself for a little while. Very entertaining.

I was at the party, too! :o)

We wanted to go out for lunch after the party, but Cole was super fussy, so we headed home for some sprinkler fun....

These cousins love each other!!!

My beautiful mother with my THREE year old daughter!!

We went to dinner at Baha Burger and had yummy burgers and sweet potato fries. Then we came back and had birthday cake!! Then we had to go for a long wagon ride b/c we were all so full!

We had a very busy and exciting birthday weekend. She had an absolute blast and it was soooo much fun to have her understand what her birthday really is.

I asked Caroline a series of questions. Here are her answers at the age of 3:

*What is your favorite color? Yellow
*What is your favorite toy? Amy, the babydoll
*What is your favorite food? Honeybuns
*What is your favorite TV Show? She couldn't answer this b/c she doesn't watch tv shows.
*What is your favorite movie? Rapunzel and Toy Story 3.
*Who is your best friend? Bailey and Joseph (from daycare) AND COLE (as she shouts it).
*What's your favorite game? Playing with my babies
*What is your favorite snack? Fruit Snacks!
*What is your favorite drink? Milk
*What's your favorite thing to do outside? Recess and chalk
*Who are your teachers? Ms. Anna Katherine, Ms. Zandra, and Ms. Sarah

I've had lots of people tell me that the "threes" are much worse than the "twos". She was a terrific 2 year old. She is so loving and nurturing. She uses her manners 95% of the time and is a good listener. She's a terrific big sister and such an awesome mommy to ALL of her babies. She was potty trained last November at 2.5 years old. She is very, very girly. Loves her nails painted and loves to wear dresses. She doesn't like to get dirty. She carries a purse that has chap stick, an old cell phone, and car keys in it. She will only sleep in night gowns. I swear I have not created this little fashion diva. She just loves to be girly.
Caroline is very bashful around strangers at first, but usually warms up quickly.
We have her three year old check up at the doctor on Tuesday. I've been telling her for a couple weeks about the appointment to prepare her and she says, "For my birthday. I'm not sick." Last time we were there she cried the whole time.
My estimate is that she's 28 pounds.
Caroline is ready to move to Illinois. She has been "helping" us pack and I know she'll love our new house and will LOVE being around our families.
