Easter Weekend

Our Easter Weekend started out amazing!! It all started last Tuesday. We had a showing of our house that afternoon and by the next day we had an offer on our house! We worked out a price and on Friday we signed the contract! Our house is officially "Under Contract" and we are scheduled to close on it June 1st.  So that means we'll be moving the weekend of June 1st!

After we signed the contract, we headed up to Smith Lake for the weekend. Eric's boss so generously lets us stay in his amazing house whenever they're not using it. We've taken advantage quite a few times.

"We're at the lake house." She said that about 40 times in a row she was soooo excited.

This little cutie pie is BUSY with a capital  B and Trouble with a capital T!!!

We put him down on the dock and he headed straight for the lake. He would have totally went into it. Fearless!  Scary!

Mommy and Cole.

Saturday morning fishing. It was a little chilly early in the morning.

She loves going out on the canoe with daddy.

Sweet girl.

It sure warmed up, though. It was 78 and gorgeous the whole weekend.

Getting ready for an Easter Egg Hunt.

She was the solo participant, so she got lots of eggs.

Cole watched. He helped her open up the eggs inside the house and had fun eating the cheerios, goldfish, and marshmallows.

The Easter Bunny came to the Lake House!

She got a "fancy dress" from the Bunny. I'm glad he knew she liked fancy dreses since she refused to sit on his lap.

All pooped out by 10am. She actually fell asleep on the couch with Daddy. She NEVER does that.

Eating a quiche and loving every bite.

Riding on the "Mule" up to the farm.

Walking around petting the horses. Caroline didn't want to pet them, but Cole thought it was funny.

Loving the wind blowing through his hair.

This is Cole's classic pose:  pulling on one of our clothes for us to pick him up. Spoiled!!

Going through all her presents and organizing them.

Super fun weekend! What a nice place you guys get to enjoy before moving back to STL. So happy to hear about the contract, hope it all goes smoothly. You are such a good mom putting goldfish and cheerios in the eggs, I filled ours with 3 musketeers and peanut butter cups :o
