16 Months Old!

Caroline is Sixteen Months old today! Let me describe our little Care Bear at 16 months old:

-Walking everywhere (she's very fast!!)
-Still into everything. Opens every drawer, cabinet, closet, box, etc. She pulls all of her clothes out of her dresser and sometimes puts them back. She is OCD with organizing things.
-Not saying too many words. She says "dad", "mom", "Uh Oh" and really that's it. She has her own language that sounds a lot like German.
-She points to things all the time and says something that we can't quite understand. Hopefully she'll learn English soon.
- Only tv she watches is her "Jesus" movie. We play it for her every other day or so. She loves watching these little kids singing bible songs. We need to go buy more of these "Cedarmont Kids" dvds.
- Loves, loves, loves our dogs. Thank God someone in this house loves these dogs. I'm kidding. Sort of.
-Still a very good eater. I can't think of one thing that we have fed her that she won't eat. She even ate pickles with her burger the other night. I'm waiting for the day when she becomes the typical "picky eater". Her favorite food of all is still a banana. She eats one every morning before daycare.
-Sleeps 12 hours every night. Eric and I really wish we could, too.
-Doesn't understand that she's going to be a big sister, but we feel that's a good thing. She'll never remember being an only child.
-Loves climbing the stairs.
-Tries to climb back down the stairs (and does a pretty good job!). She can get herself off the couch, but needs help getting on.
-She's a petite little thing. At her 15 month check up, she was only 20lbs.
-Happy the majority of the time. She is sick right now with a head cold and cough, but still smiles and pretends nothing is wrong.
-Cries her little heart out every single morning that we drop her off at daycare. The teacher said she is fine the second we leave. I think she likes for us to know that she really loves us. I'm very glad that she is immediately fine. When we pick her up in the afternoon, she runs right over to us and is very excited. She smiles at me from the back seat all the way home. Precious.
-Isn't really attached to anything in particular, but still sleeps with the blanket her GG Davis made for her before she was born.
-Is slowly getting over the Plastic-Easter-Eggs-Are-The-Greatest-Thing-In-The-World phase that she has been going through since April.
